My work reflects on the relationship between place and identity through uses of map imagery, womanly craft, and family photographs.  Home Sweet Home is inspired by rural home decor and common symbols of domesticity. Using traditional watercolor and embroidery techniques, I've stitched a grid of old and new Bellevue onto a painted replica of a found print. This piece references the clash between what Bellevue is now and what I wished it had been, growing up there.
