Since moving to Seattle from Washington, DC, 4 years ago, I have been obsessively recording the neighborhood architecture that is so endemic to the Northwest. This particular blue shed I came upon on a walk through a Georgetown alley has recently become a favorite subject for me to paint. I am interested in the way that the shed functions as a dilapidated structure around which to lean and pile rocks, junk, and other random detritus.
